Police in Kilkeel, Co Down, have appealed for witnesses to the attempted abduction of a woman in the town early this morning.
The woman (23) was on her way to work at around 5.20am when she was approached by two men in a dark vehicle in the Riverview area, the PSNI said.
The men approached her and asked her for directions to Newcastle. One of the men tried to grab her, repeatedly telling her to get into the car.
A struggle ensued and the woman's handbag was torn before she managed to escape into Riverside Park.

One of the men had short, curly blond hair and may have had a foreign accent.
