Several thousand last minute income tax filers in seven US cities are in line for a treat that may reflect their deepest thought at tax time.

The Academy of American Poets will give out free copies of T.S. Eliot's The Wasteland to late filers who line up at post offices in Miami, New York, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Boston and Washington between 10 pm. and midnight on April 15th, the last day to file 1996 tax forms on time.
