MOTHER Teresa, the Catholic nun who devotes her life to caring for Calcutta's poor, was granted honorary US citizenship at the weekend. The 86 year old nun, who recently recovered from a serious illness, joins just four other people who have been granted this distinction in the 221 years of American nationhood.

British actor Daniel Day Lewis has married Rebecca, the daughter of US author Arthur Miller, at a secret location in the US state of Vermont, according to weekend reports.
