The Assistant Grand Master of the Orange Order in Ireland, Mr John McCrea, handed a cheque for £3,500 to the Mohawk Indians in Canada yesterday. The money will go towards restoration of the tribe's chapel, Christ Church.

The order said it was delighted to offer financial support to the Mohawks, who have an Orange Lodge, LOL No 99, in the Tyendinaga territory at Deseronto in Ontario.
