Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh is giving the internet ‘head tingles’

Video of GAA commentator making ham sandwich shared on relaxing voice forum

An Irish Times video of Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh making a ham sandwich has been shared on Reddit because viewers find his voice “reLaxing”.

Recorded by videojournalist Bryan O’Brien in 2015, it shows the famous GAA commentator talking about packing a “GAA picnic” when travelling to games and talks us through how to make the perfect match-day ham sandwich.

The video was posted on a Reddit forum called ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) on Monday and has racked up 800 views since then.

People use the ASMR forum to share videos which elicit the feeling of “head tingles”.

One comment reads: “The way he says ‘Brown Bread....Whole Meal....’ mmmmmm,” while another says “Man that guys reLaxing”.

One viewer has clearly revelled in the method of his sandwich-making, saying “the careful deliberate cuts of tomatoes makes my hairs rise”.
