Erris Inshore Fishermen's Association has lodged an objection with An Bord Pleanβla to the proposed Corrib Gas Terminal in north-west Mayo. The fishermen have asked for an oral hearing.
Seven other appellants have also lodged objections, including local residents, the Ballinaboy and Leenamore Concerned Citizens, MEP Ms Patricia McKenna, An Taisce, D·chas, and Belmullet Sea Angling Club. Ten letters of observations have also been submitted in support of the appeals. The board is due to make a decision by December 19th.
