Leinster coach Matt Williams was quick to ease Ireland fears after Lions centre Brian O'Driscoll left the field clutching his chest during last night's 52-14 Celtic League victory over Pontypridd at Donnybrook.

O'Driscoll, making his first appearance of the season, scored two tries, as did Irish wing Denis Hickie.

However, Williams said: "He's had rib problems recently, but he's fine.

"I said I'd bring him off with 20 minutes to go but he said he was okay.

"When he scored his second try with five to go we thought it best to take him off but he's okay."
