London - The British government has set new targets for cutting drug misuse over the next 10 years. Dr Jack Cunningham told the Commons yesterday that resources were being switched from dealing with the consequences of drug abuse to treatment and prevention. He announced that £3 million seized from drug traffickers would be spent on the problem in 1999-2000, with more to come in the following years.
