A new carpark has opened beside Dublin Airport this morning to provide competition to the Aer Rianta- run facilities.

Quick Park is based on a site on the Old Airport Road. Motorists will be taken to the airport building by coaches travelling to and from the terminal every five minutes.

The company is planning to undercut the daily rate charged by Aer Rianta of €7.50 by charging €5 per day. The company said the short-term car parking rate will be €1 per hour.

Aircoach chief executive Mr John O'Sullivan is behind the new venture.
