A new £25 million cancer research site will open today at Queen's University in Belfast.

A new £25 million cancer research site will open today at Queen's University in Belfast.

The Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology will consider new methods of prevention, treatment and diagnosis of the disease.

The facility houses over 300 researchers from around the world and helps make Belfast one of Europe's leading research centres, the university said.

First and Deputy First Ministers Ian Paisley and Martin McGuinness will both attend the opening by Queen's Chancellor Senator George Mitchell.
