A man who works within the grounds of a Co Monaghan castle today gave a further hint that the venue would host a fairytale wedding for Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills.

Mr Gary Roberts (44) said he did not believe that feverish activity around Castle Leslie in Glaslough, Co Monaghan, was due to a "product launch" as castle bosses have suggested.

"At this stage I would think that it seems to me like the wedding would be most likely," he said.

The father-of-two spoke of huge activity within the grounds in recent days.

As barriers were erected outside the gates this morning and lorries continued to deliver food to the castle, Mr Roberts said: "It would be a very big product if it were a product launch."

Yesterday Sir John Leslie, 84, uncle of the castle owner Sammie Leslie, all but revealed that the couple had chosen the Victorian castle to host their wedding.

"We are told vaguely it is next Tuesday like the papers say, but it is all secret, I have to keep it dead secret, you know," he said.

There was a burst of activity as he again left the castle to buy a newspaper today. But he said: "It is a vague rumour, I know nothing. They might change their minds."
