IT'S certainly not the youngest group of artists and its definitely not the raciest but the Water Colour, Society can certainly draw a crowd as it proved at the opening of its 142nd exhibition at the RHA on Tuesday evening.
Elected to the society this year was Susan O'Doherty who, at 29, is one of its youngest members - the very active group includes some still-painting 90-year-olds.
Bernadette Greevy flew in from a concert engagement in London for the evening and Pip Kirby, another, water colour fan, came from the lsle of Man.
From slightly-closer to home came Grania Langrishe, Donald and Hilary Pratt, Countess Irene Viani; Denise and Michael Law, Donal and Martine McCullough, Mary and Chomly Farren, and Tim O'Grady Walsh.
Estate agent Paul McDowell, who was there with his wife Sue, unfortunately couldn't be drawn on exactly who he has been showing around the ultimate rock star's pad - Ayesha Castle in Killiney, which he has on the market for £2.5 million.
