A decision has been made by An Bord Pleanala in the long-running Mullaghmore saga, but parties to the appeal will have to wait until Monday morning to find out what the board's decision is.
A board spokeswoman said last night that the parties - including the Minister for Arts and Heritage, Ms de Valera, and the Burren Action Group - were being notified by post of the decision. It brings to an end a nine-year conflict over visitor facilities in the Burren. The ruling follows Ms de Valera's appeal against Clare County Council's decision to refuse planning permission for visitor facilities at Mullaghmore.
