AN ARMAGH mother issued an impassioned plea yesterday for her 14 year old daughter, who disappeared last week, to contact home. She is thought to be in Dublin.
Mrs Geraldine Henry begged her daughter, Mary, who may be in the company of a Pakistani man, to telephone someone in the family to say she is all right.
Miss Mary Henry, from Callanbridge Park in the city left her home at 8.30 a.m. last Thursday intending to go to school. However, she did not turn up and was last seen in the Mall West area of the city boarding the Dublin express bus.
Described as around five feet tall with fair hair, blue eyes and a fresh complexion, Mary had been wearing black trousers and a black jacket with the motif "Game Over".
Mrs Henry said she first realised something was wrong last Thursday morning when, after her daughter had left for school, she went shopping but all her money had disappeared from her purse. She contacted her school in Armagh but staff discovered she had not turned up.
Mrs Henry revealed her daughter had been friendly with a Pakistani man in his mid 20s. The RUC believe she may be in the Ballymun area and gardai have been searching for her since she disappeared last Thursday.
Mrs Henry had a message for her daughter: "If you are safe, just ring home. Ring anyone if you don't want to ring me or your father. Ring your Auntie Anne or Auntie Ellie or even your granny.
"No one is angry with you. We all love you and want you to be safe and to come back home," said Mrs Henry.
