Middlesbrough have agreed a £1 million sterling deal with Rangers for winger Allan Johnston.

Middlesbrough have agreed a £1 million sterling deal with Rangers for winger Allan Johnston.

The former Sunderland man has struggled to make an impact at Ibrox since his move from Wearside last summer.

But new Boro manager Steve McClaren and chief executive Keith Lamb have finalised a fee with Rangers chairman David Murray for the player.

"I've been in talks with Keith Lamb and we have agreed a £1million fee," Murray told the Daily Star. "Now it's up to Allan to agree personal terms with Middlesbrough".
