Strong winds and heavy rain may lead to flooding today and tonight, Met Éireann has warned.
The meteorlogical service has issued a severe weather warning saying heavy rain will affect all areas with a risk of spot flooding particularly in the southwest.
The warning says widespread heavy rain this evening and tonight will see accumulations of up to 5 centimetres or more in places.
The southern half of the country is most at risk with a risk of coastal flooding on south coast tonight due to strong onshore winds.

Met Éireann predicts severe south to southwest winds tonight in parts of Munster, Leinster and East Ulster with average speeds of 30 to 40 mph and gusts of 75 to 85 mph possible.
