A Northern Ireland woman found suffering from memory loss in a Kilkenny village has been reunited with her family.

Relatives were travelling to Clonmel, Co Tipperary, yesterday, where the woman has been in hospital since coming to the attention of locals in Urlingford last month. The family came forward after newspapers published her photograph at the request of the Garda. Their spokesman yesterday declined to give details of her identity, except to say she is from Belfast and is not - as she originally claimed - "Elizabeth Sands". He added: "Our function was to unite her with her family, and we're happy that's been done."
