A man was stabbed in the finger with a syringe while he was withdrawing cash from a dispensing machine in Tallaght, Co Dublin, yesterday gardai said.
The man was standing at the Irish Permanent branch at Main Street when he was approached from behind by a man who put a syringe to his neck. The attacker asked for money but the man refused. A struggle ensued, gardai said, and the man was stabbed with the syringe.
