A man was killed in a two-car collision in Co Antrim this morning.
The incident, involving two cars, happened on the Carryduff Road at Lisburn shortly before 3.30am.
A woman was taken to hospital although a police spokesman said details of her condition are not yet known. Part of the road where the collision occurred has been closed.
Meanwhile a boy (10) has been hospitalised after being knocked down in Co Derry. The incident took place yesterday on Main Street, Maghera, at around 5pm.
A police spokesman said the boy was struck by a silver coloured car, adding the female driver stopped briefly before driving on a short time later.
The boy remains in hospital although his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The PSNI has appealed for the woman to come forward.
They have also asked for witnesses to the incident - particularly the driver of a milk tanker who was in the area at the time - to contact them.
