A Newtownabbey man was jailed for three years yesterday at Belfast Crown Court for a catalogue of sex offences dating back more than 20 years to when he was aged 12. The 34-year-old man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the victims, admitted 10 charges involving a girl cousin who was seven when the assaults began. He also pleaded guilty to 10 charges against his younger brother beginning when the child was eight.
Another brother, now aged 29, was given a two-year sentence, suspended for three years, after admitting four similar offences against the boy, who was a year younger than himself.
