A man has been charged with the murder last December of Mr Ian Dixon (23) of Moyrath, Kildalkey, Co Meath. He died after a shooting at a farmhouse in Moyrath.
Mr Patrick Murray (42) of Moyrath, Kildalkey, was arrested yesterday morning and later appeared before Kells District Court. Sgt Pat Robinson gave evidence of arresting and charging him.
He replied "No comment" in response to the murder charge.
Judge John Brophy granted the defendant free legal aid and remanded him in custody for one week.
