A man appeared in court in Waterford today charged in connection with a shooting last month.

A man appeared in court in Waterford today charged in connection with a shooting last month.

Patrick O'Reilly, of Fortunestown Crescent, Tallaght, Dublin was charged with carrying a firearm with criminal intent to cause serious harm at Kilbarry halting site on August 29th.

A man was shot in the legs during a row allegedly involving up about a dozen people in the early hours of that morning.

Mr O'Reilly was remanded in custody with consent to bail of two independent sureties of €25,000 each.
