A man in his forties has appeared before a special sitting of Sligo District Court in connection with a stabbing incident in Sligo yesterday.
Mr Patrick McGrath, was charged under Section Four of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person's Act and was remanded in custody to appear before the court again next Wednesday.
Mr James Murphy, 50, from Co Tyrone died from stab wounds last night in Sligo General Hospital.
