GARDAI believe they may, have identified a man known to the murdered French woman, Ms Sophie Toscan du Plantier, on video footage recorded at Cork Airport, writes Alison O'Connor.
The man may have travelled from France to Cork on the same day as Ms du Plantier.
It has also been revealed that she spoke to her estranged husband by telephone on the night she was murdered and according to gardai investigating her death, she was not in any way distressed at that tide.
She may also have made a second telephone call to her 15 year old son. She was beaten to death last Sunday night near Goleen, Co Cork, in a remote country laneway near her holiday home.
