Emergency services attended the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in Co Wicklow today.

Emergency services attended the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in Co Wicklow today.

The crash between a lorry and a car took place on the N11 at Jack White's Cross near Brittas Bay at about 10.15am.

According to gardaí, the male driver of the car was taken to St Columcille's Hospital Loughlinstown Co Dublin. His condition is unknown. The driver of the lorry was uninjured.

The N11 has now reopened in both directions north of the Arklow bypass after being closed following the collision at Scratenagh..

AA Roadwatch said traffic had been diverting via the coast road but two lorries were blocking the road, and motorists were advised to stick to the N11. Traffic congestion in the area has now reportedly eased.
