Man for court over Dublin drug seizure
A 28 year-old man is expected to appear in court tomorrow morning on charges relating to the discovery of drugs and firearms in Dublin on Friday night.
The man will appear at Dublin District Court in the morning charged with firearms and drugs offences. Two other two men remain in custody in Pearse Street Garda Station.
More than €500,000 of drugs, firearms and ammunition was seized during a series of raids on a warehouse and homes in south and west Dublin.
The warehouse, at the Hillcrest Business Park, Greenhills Road, Walkinstown, is believed to have been a cocaine preparation factory. Gardaí said the find will have a major impact on the supply of the drug coming in to the country.
A fourth man who was questioned following a raid on a house in Tallaght on Friday night has been released without charge. A file is to be prepared for the DPP.
Cannabis and cocaine worth an estimated €60,000 was seized, along with €10,000 in cash, from a property at Elm Drive.
