London - A two-day armed stand-off between police and a man holding his two-year-old son in a dispute over custody ended peacefully yesterday when he gave himself up.
The confrontation closed off a long section of the M4 motorway, one of the busiest in southern England, causing massive traffic disruption. The unnamed 45-year-old man had parked his camper van at the side of the road on Friday night.
