Gardaí are appealing for information after a man died following a serious assault in Co Cavan.
The 73-year-old, named locally this evening as Johnny Golden, was discovered injured at his home in Nedd, Doogary, Killeshandra, Co Cavan on the morning of September 7th.
He died at Cavan General Hospital last night.
A man was arrested on September 11th but was later released without charge.
Gardaí are particularly interested in hearing from anyone that may have been in the vicinity of Nedd, Doogary between 8pm on Monday, September 6th and 11am on Tuesday, September 7th.
