Somerset - Neighbours of a pensioner who lay dead in his house for up to three years yesterday asked why he was not found before. Alfred Page's body was discovered in his bed at his home in Locking, near Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, after his wife, Iris (76), collapsed and died in hospital a few days later.
At an inquest yesterday, a pathologist estimated former aerospace worker Mr Page, who would now have been 75, had died between two and three years before. He and his wife were rarely seen and their son, Michael (50), who has learning difficulties, showed no signs anything was wrong.
