There is to be a full legal action over a claim by a barman that he is entitled to a quarter share of £500,000 won on a Lotto ticket last month, the High Court was told yesterday. Mr Michael Curry, who works in Jacobs Bar, Sag gart, Co Dublin, is suing Ms Rosanna Seery.
He claims they had a syndicate which held a ticket which won £500,000 in the Lotto on January 22nd. Mr Curry says he did not become aware of the win for three days. The jackpot on the night was £1 million but there were two winning tickets.
Mr Justice Geoghegan was told that £125,000 is to be lodged in a bank pending the outcome. The hearing is unlikely for some months.
