Police in west Belfast are treating a shooting in the city as an attempted murder.

Police in west Belfast are treating a shooting in the city as an attempted murder.

A man (25) was shot in the shoulder at St James' Avenue at around 8.45 p.m. yesterday. It is understood he was attacked by three men who shot him with a shotgun.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward - and particularly anyone who saw a light-coloured car similar to a Vauxhall Vectra that was seen heading towards the Donegal Road.
