CAIRO - A team of doctors in south Egypt has for the first time successfully treated male impotence with a cream applied directly to the genitals, researchers said yesterday.
"On a sample of 36 men, we had a positive response of 66 per cent, with 60 per cent getting full erection", said Mr Mohammed Shalabi, a professor of urology at Asyut University. The cream, with an active ingredient of aminopylline, widens veins and arteries to improve blood flow, he said.
