US federal prosecutors expect the former chief financial officer for disgraced financier Bernard Madoff to plead guilty to criminal charges on Tuesday.
Frank DiPascali, long rumoured to be co-operating with authorities, agreed to enter the plea in federal court in Manhattan, prosecutors said in a letter to a judge. The charges were not specified.
Yesterday prosecutors filed a one-page notification with the court that they would charge DiPascali.
Such a filing usually means that there is a plea deal and that the defendant is co-operating.
