A Limerick man was charged at the weekend with causing criminal damage and threatening to kill or cause serious harm to another man.

Mr Philip Collopy (19), of St Ita's Street, St Mary's Park, appeared at a special sitting of Limerick District Court on Saturday. He was charged with causing criminal damage to the front door of a house at Canon Breen Park, St Mary's Park, on June 29th.

He was also charged with making a threat to Mr Connie Quilligan intending him to believe it would be carried out, to kill or cause serious harm to him. He was remanded in custody until July 6th.
