World heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis has ruled out any chance of a rematch with Mike Tyson, his trainer Emanuel Steward has said.
Steward told BBC's Radio Five Livethere was a contractual obligation for a second fight with Tyson but the Lewis camp was firmly opposed to going ahead with it.
"I have no interest in it, Lennox has no interest in it, but he has to fight someone," said Steward.
He said that Lewis' eight-round knockout of Tyson in their title fight in June in Memphis had been so lop-sided that there would not be a public demand for a rematch.
"No one had an expectation that it would be so one-sided," he added.
Steward said his main wish for the British fighter was for him to quit boxing by the end of 2003.
Lewis had been down to defend his title against Ukrainian Vitaly Klitschko in March but has since cast doubt over whether the fight would go ahead.
