The Irish Wheelchair Association has urged the Government to provide the £12 million needed to implement the recommendations of the Department of Health's Review Group on People with Physical and Sensory Disability.
The association said that while the publication of the group's report was welcome, there was a pressing need for a day resource centre, home support services, respite care and aids and appliances. The coast of these was estimated by the review group at £10 million and that amount should be provided in next week's Budget.
