Israeli Internal Security Minister Tzachi Hanegbi has warned Hamas leaders that not one of them was safe after the army was ordered to "completely wipe out" theIslamist movement.

"Hamas leaders have no immunity, especially when thisorganisation is doing everything it can to scuttle the political process," Mr Hanegbi told army radio a day after a suicide attack killed 16 people and the Hamas bomber in Jerusalem.

The hawkish minister was answering a question on whether Israel would consider targeting Sheikh Ahmad Yassin, a founder and the spiritual leader of Hamas, who is blind and confined to awheelchair.
