US veteran, Hale Irwin turned back the clock today, as he shot a three-under-par 67 to become the clubhouse leader in the 101st US Open in Tulsa Oklahoma.
Play was suspended midway through the first round due to storm warnings, with only a fraction of golfers having completed their rounds.
Irish interests were represented by Darren Clarke, who shot a four-over-par 74, and Padraig Harrington, who fared slightly better, carding a three over 73.
Play resumes at 1pm, Irish time, tomorrow.
