Nicosia - Fire broke out on a glass-bottomed boat off the coast of Cyprus yesterday, resulting in four tourists and the captain being treated for burns. Three other tourists, all from Ireland, were treated for shock and a Norwegian suffered a panic attack after the incident near the resort of Ayia Napa, doctors said.
When the fire started to spread people jumped into the sea. They were plucked from the sea by police helicopters and a launch. Of the injured, two Italians were being treated for second-degree burns at a clinic while two Swiss tourists with slight burns were released.
