Sherry from Trinity College's Historical Society won the Demosthenes Trophy for best team at last night's Irish TimesDebate Final 2010.

It was the 50th anniversary of the event.

The pair were opposing the motion that “This House Believes that Ireland Owes a Debt of Gratitude to Fianna Fáil 1926 – 2010”.

In a show of hands, the audience voted resoundingly against the motion, which was debated at the Helix in Dublin City University.
