Anne Byrne (above left) has been appointed Careers and Guidance Correspondent of The Irish Times. She is a graduate of DIT Kevin Street and DCU and has been working for The Irish Times for four years, contributing mainly to the Education and Living supplement. In her new position, she will continue to contribute to Education and Living, while writing the Countdown to College, Exam Times and Points Race columns in The Irish Times.

Ella Shanahan (above right) has been appointed editor of the Education and Living supplement, of which she was formerly deputy editor. Previously she worked with the News and Star in Waterfords the Examiner in Cork and RTE, and she was agriculture correspondent, agribusiness correspondent, political reporter and London Editor of The Irish Times.

Sile Sheehy (below left) continues as head of Education Services and as general editor of college entry and career guidance coverage. She is an arts and commerce graduate of UCG. She has worked in research with An Foras Taluntais, the ESRI and NCEA and in second and third level education in Alexandra College, Dublin, UCD and UCG. She joined The Irish Times five years ago as deputy head of education services.

Paula O'Gorman continues as deputy head of Education Services. She has worked with The Irish Times for six years, working in Education and Living and the Newspaper in the Classroom sections. Before that she was with Carroll Group Distributors.
