Woman seriously injured after falling off bike on Luas tracks

Cyclist aged in her 20s brought to St James’s Hospital following Dawson St incident

A young woman was seriously injured on Tuesday night after falling off her bicycle on the Luas tracks on Dawson Street.

The incident happened at about 8.25pm, gardaí said. It is believed the woman, aged in her 20s, fell off her bike on the tracks.

Gardaí said emergency services attended the scene; the woman was taken to St James’ Hospital where her injuries were described as serious.

Dawson Street was closed and Luas services were stopped for a short time.
