Train services to start using Phoenix Park tunnel next week

New rail routes follow €13.7m investment from the National Transport Authority

The National Transport Authority (NTA) previously announced plans to start passenger services to connect the city’s two main stations through the 138-year-old tunnel line between Connolly and Heuston. The journey would take about eight minutes.

New rail commuter services using the Phoenix Park Tunnel line will start operating next Monday.

Iarnród Éireann said services connecting stations between Newbridge and Parkwest with Connolly to Grand Canal Dock will start on Monday, November 21st.
