Massive new rollercoaster for Tayto Park

Construction on Tayto Park’s new roller coaster in Ashbourne, Co. Meath is expected to be completed and open to the public by the summer. It will be Europe’s largest inverted wooden roller coaster and the only one of its kind in Europe. Ground was broken on the project in September 2014 and a team of seventy engineers and builders are at work on the project. Constructed from over 800,000 kgs of yellow pine from the USA it will reach heights of 32.05 metres and have a drop zone of 29 metres. Video: Bryan O'Brien
