Man charged with making death threats to Northern Ireland health minister

Man (40s) arrested on Tuesday following a report to police from the UUP MLA

A man has been charged with making threats to kill Northern Ireland’s health minister Robin Swann.

A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said that a man in his 40s has been charged with harassment, making threats to kill and the improper use of electronic communications.

He was arrested earlier on Tuesday, following a report to police from UUP MLA Mr Swann.

The accused will appear at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning. – PA
