Iraq criticises food delays

Baghdad - Iraq insisted yesterday on better terms in the "oil-for-food" exemption to crippling economic sanctions, as the UN Security Council prepared to renew the accord for a third term.

The official news agency INA, citing a message delivered to the UN Secretary General, Mr Kofi Annan, said the first two terms of the accord, launched in December 1996, were dogged by delays in the delivery of humanitarian supplies.
