Spanair engines were working
An investigation into the Madrid air crash of August 20th has confirmed that both engines of the aircraft were working properly during take- off and the pilots received no acoustic warning that the flaps had not deployed properly, writes Karl McLaughlin.
A preliminary report on the crash of the Spanair flight points to the possibility that a faulty relay switch led the pilots to believe that the flaps had extended correctly.
