Identities of drowned Meath men confirmed

Niall Sheridan, (52), from Athboy, Co Meath, and his colleague Joseph Bartley (25), from Navan, Co Meath had been attending an insurance conference in the western city of Agadir.

The men were employees of Galway-based Acorn Life Insurance and worked in an office in Moynalty, Co Meath. They were part of a group of about 150 employees who were attending the conference.

In a statement the company said: "We have been reliably informed of the tragic drowning at Agadir in Morocco of two of our sales associates."
