A Hungarian nurse who became known as the "Black Angel" has told her murder trial she killed more than 30 patients in nine months.

Ms Timea Faludi (25) told the Budapest court she remembered giving lethal doses of drugs to between 30 and 35 seriously ill, elderly patients.

In her confession, Ms Faludi said she considered herself guilty not only in the eight cases of killing patients by lethal injection, for which she is charged by the prosecutor, but in the other cases as well.

However, she claimed she administered the drugs to relieve the patients' pain not intentionally to kill them.
