London - A telephone hoaxer who called police within hours of the terror attacks in the US on September 11th, warning London would be "bombarded" next, was yesterday jailed for three years.

In what the judge called the most serious hoax call imaginable, Mossadek Jouini (38), claimed he was a member of the Palestinan terror group Hamas and warned Canary Wharf (office block) and the former NatWest tower would be targeted.

Southwark crown court in London heard Jouini, a Tunisian national living in Holloway, north London, threatened that "innocent people" would be killed if Mr Blair continued to back the US.
